There are many characteristics that contribute to becoming a competent, creative design professional. An understanding of principles and processes, an affinity for users and a willingness to approach problems from unique perspectives are all highly valued concepts within the creative community.

Competent software use is also important, without it you are reliant on others to bring your designs to life.

This module is not assessed. Instead, it is designed to provide the necessary software knowledge to complete each of the assessments in the other modules.

The content in this module is broken down by software application.

  • Adobe Indesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Interface design (Adobe XD and the Whimisical.com platform).

Many of the videos include accompanying working files that can be downloaded and used to follow along or experiment.

Adobe Creative Cloud is an amazing collection of apps, and there is an incredible number of creative uses for it. This collection of videos is by no means an exhaustive list, and as a responsible creative professional, it is your job to seek out additional techniques and solutions to production challenges.
