Procurement is a vital part of any business. Finding the right suppliers of your goods and services, negotiating terms and managing contracts are all critical elements in establishing a profitable business. Holders of this qualification can be the lifeblood of almost any business. Whether that business is your own or someone else’s, the knowledge gained in these modules will be an asset for your future career.

The first 9 modules in this qualification can provide valuable support for individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles including procurement. These individuals may have supervisory performance accountabilities. The last 4 modules focus specifically on procurement and will allow you to understand the concepts involved and develop confidence in this area of business.

Individuals in these roles carry out a mix of specialist and moderately complex administrative or operational tasks that require self-development skills. They use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.
