Part 1: Cisco Network Essentials 

The first part is delivered on the Cisco NetAcad platform. You be provided with login credentials at the beginning of this module and will be enrolled in the Cisco Networking Academy’s Networking Essentials 2.0 (NetEss 2.0) course.

This course provides learners with a broad foundational understanding of networking. It is suitable for anyone interested in a career in ITC or a related career pathway. NetEss 2.0 is self-paced. The primary emphasis is on networking knowledge with a small amount of basic skills that are useful for a home or SOHO network. 

Once you have completed the course on the Cisco NetAcad platform, you will return to this platform and continue the second part of the module. 

Part 2: Extended content and activities 

The second part is delivered right here. You will find a series of additional content and activity.

  • Network Models OSI and TCP/IP
  • Network Managment
  • Redundancy

These topics are intended to round out your networking skill and provide an opportunity to practice some of the skills that will enable you to achieve the stated learning outcomes.

On successful completion of this course, students are able to:
