The role of a Tutor is to ensure the success of our students by providing an environment that engages, respects and nurtures them, to set them up for future success and pathway to higher level education or industry employment.

Our Campuses are an energetic environment where value is placed on delivering outcomes rather than micro-managing work and tasks. You will be given autonomy to work in a way that gets the best results and will be expected to take responsibility and make things happen.

In your role, you will be supported by Learning & Development Leads, Learner Success Leaders, Faculty Academic Leads and of course your Campus Manager

As a tutor, your Campus Manager is your support person, available for you when you need guidance in your role. They are there to guide & support you with your course preparation, assessments, classroom management, administration etc. You will have a one-on-one meeting regularly called Qtime (Quality Time) to check in with you, and to see how you are going, as well as identify any areas of support and goal setting.

You will have a Learning & Development Lead (based remotely) as well as Learner Success Leader (on campus) who will support you through your Professional Development Plan (abbreviation of this is PDP), you will have regular catch ups with your L&D Lead and LSL to discuss your progress and how you can support learner needs.

Throughout your induction, we will cover key information such as your

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and how to achieve them
  • How we facilitate engaging learning
  • How to use tutor resources

There can be a lot to take in during your induction, so we also have a Tutor Manual that is updated regularly.

We have created the Tutor Manual to better support you in your new role and to outline what is expected of you as a tutor, what procedure/best practice you should apply, along with some wonderful tools to help you understand your role as a Tutor and how to perform it with confidence.

You can find the Tutor Manual here.

IMPORTANT! Please do not print or save the Tutor Manual on your personal device as it is updated regularly and you want to ensure you are using the most accurate version at all times.
