Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Employee Assistance Program or EAP is a counselling service provided by employers to their staff. EAP is there to support an individual’s emotional & psychological well-being both in the workplace & in their personal lives.

Employee Assistance Programs or EAP provide free and confidential support services to employees within the workplace. These support services include:

  • Confidential assessments
  • Short-term counselling
  • Referrals
  • Follow ups.

These services are available for all employees working throughout Australia.

There are different EAP providers. This information should be readily available for you. If you are unsure you should ask your supervisor or Human Resources officer for information about the provider you can contact.
