Purpose
In this learning task, focus on setting up your portfolio for this Fundamental Wardobe Skills module. Read all the steps below carefully before accessing this module's portfolio space.

Steps
1. Access the Portfolio Space
Find this module's portfolio space by selecting the link at the end of these task steps.
2. Create Your Portfolio Thread
- Within the portfolio space, look for a link that says 'New thread'.
- Select this link to proceed to the thread creation page.
3. Enter Your Portfolio details
- In the Subject field, enter your first and last names, followed by the word 'Portfolio'. Here's an example: 'Poppy Otene - Portfolio'. This becomes your portfolio's name.
- In the 'Message field', enter a few words describing what you like about wardrobes.
4. Check your Portfolio details and Save your portfolio
- Check your portfolio name (Subject field) and your description (Message field) and make changes if you wish.
- Use the 'Post to forum' button to save your portfolio and publish it to this module's portfolio space.

- Create your first portfolio post by sharing a shoelace tying image.
Sharing an image in your portfolio will showcase your understanding of this wardrobe skill and help you learn how to use your portfolio.
Steps
1. Research techniques
Explore various methods of tying shoelaces. Note down the differences between techniques and identify the most common and efficient ones.
2. Choose and Practice a Technique
Select a shoelace tying technique that resonates with you. Practice it until you can perform it smoothly and confidently.
3. Find and Save an IMAGE
Explore the internet for an image of the result of your chosen technique. Save the image to your device. Ensure your image is clear and well-lit.
4. Share Shoelace IMAGE and thoughts to Portfolio
- Select your own portfolio thread by finding your name in the portfolio space.
- Select 'Reply' to your description (where you entered a few words describing what you liked about wardrobes).
- Insert your image by using the 'Insert Image' icon, and enter a few words explaining why your chosen shoetying technique resonates with you.
- Select 'Post your response' when you're ready.
5. Peer Review and Feedback (NEXT PHASE TESTING)
Access the portfolio space again in a week's time. Review your peers' images carefully in their portfolios, and provide constructive feedback, highlighting what you think is effective, what could be improved, and any suggestions for enhancing image clarity. Remember our netiquette guidelines!
