Module Introduction

Course information 

Welcome to module 5. Here, you will continue to collaborate and contribute within multidisciplinary teams to strengthen your confidence and experience working alongside people from different levels and healthcare backgrounds. This module focuses on assisting senior staff with routine observations, administering medications, monitoring people in care and general assistance in a health and wellbeing setting.  

You will also understand and put into practice different communication techniques when faced with challenging conversations or situations and will apply your own leadership skills and strengths to different situations. 

Learning outcomes of this module include: 

• Supporting multidisciplinary collaboration and contributing to team effectiveness  
• Performing routine observations in accordance with organisational policies and procedures  
• Assisting in the management and dispensary of medications  
• Using effective communication techniques when engaging in challenging conversations
