Here is a list of questions we get asked the most about First Aid:

No. You need to make sure that you complete the HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting (or often called as 'Childcare First Aid HLTAID012') to meet the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care course requirements.

Only if it is still valid. The HLTAID012 First Aid certificate is valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date of course completion. The CPR component must be updated every 12 months. You also need to check whether the course code on your first aid certificate is HLTAID012 as this is the only first aid certificate that is accepted for this course. If you completed the HLTAID012 training recently, within the past 12 months, you can upload the certificate.

The CPR component must be renewed every 12 months, while the HLTAID012 First Aid certificate is valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date of course completion.

If you are having difficulties finding a training provider for first aid training, reach out to your trainer, who will be able to assist you.

No. SOE does not offer this unit of competency. You will be required to undertake the unit of competency with an external provider at your own cost.

If you haven't found what you were looking for, please don't hesitate to get in contact with your trainer.
