A trainer and client

Being a personal trainer is all about providing safe, effective, and motivational experiences to our clients. A big part of this is about understanding what you can and cannot say, rules, guidelines, and regulations around working with the public, and communicating in a way that keeps clients coming back for more.

In this module, you will learn about ethical and legal guidelines when it comes to being a personal trainer, whether you plan on running your own business or working in a commercial gym.

We’ll cover:

  • An overview of the health and fitness industry
  • Explore various codes of ethical practice
  • Important legislation and guidelines for working in the fitness industry
  • How to communicate appropriately and effectively with those you work for, with, and alongside
