Welcome to the exciting world of early childhood education and care. We hope you have a wonderful time studying with Swinburne Open Education. CHC30121-Certificate III in Early Childhood education and care is a nationally recognised qualification. This certificate will enable you to start a career in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Throughout this course, you will develop the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in the sector and to facilitate the development and well-being of children from birth to age six.

Upon the completion of this qualification, you will be able to work in a regulated early childhood setting, such as:

  • Long Day Care Centres (LDC)
  • Family Day Cares (FDC)
  • Pre-schools/ Kindergartens
  • Out of School Hours Care (OSHC or OOSH).

This qualification is the minimum qualification that someone wanting to work in a regulated early childhood education and care setting must hold.
