SUBJECT OVERVIEW
During the module, students will have three skill sessions on
- How to be empathetic
- What is a theory? And how to understand theory
- Integrity & ethics
The above will enable students to learn more about the essential skills of becoming a successful leader.
The main content for the course builds on the understanding of the HR functions developed in Level 5. Students will learn how leadership is a critical driver for ensuring Tourism and Travel and Hospitality businesses are responsive to change and the impact this can have on a business. The course begins by considering what role strategy plays, and then, continues to delve into the role of leadership in change management. Students will learn to analyse theories and models available to leaders, then focus on employees. Having understood the elements, students will take on an organisational overview of the impacts of change.
