In this lesson, we'll start to develop one of the foundations of your marketing plan: your Customer Avatar or Buyer Persona. Then, we'll take some time to explore Instagram and Pinterest, two of the major platforms for available digital marketing today.
Apply what you've just learned about customer avatars/personas, to create a customer avatar for your own business.
The work you complete in this practical may also be applied to Assessment 1.
Use the questions below as a guide:
- Goals and values: determine what the avatar is trying to achieve. What values do they hold dear?
- Sources of information: Figure out what books, magazines, blogs, news stations, and other resources the avatar references for information.
- Demographics: Estimate the age, gender, marital status, ethnicity, income, employment status, nationality, and political preference of the avatar.
- Challenges and pain points: What is holding the avatar back from achieving their goals?
- Objections: Why would the avatar choose not to buy your product or service?
