In this lesson, we'll introduce Search Engine Optimisation. We'll learn about the importance search, how it works and how it has evolved over time. This will help inform how your use text, links and images on your own website – to make sure you have a chance of showing up in your customer's search results.
Your practical activity for this lesson will include applying some SEO techniques to your own website.
So for us to understand a little bit more about SEO, so we can apply SEO techniques, we need to understand how search works. We need to understand how Google rules search and some of the history of Search – some of the events that happened, to bring us to the era we are in now.
