If you want to find a plumber, a great Italian restaurant, or a new hairdresser, chances are you’ll Google it. And once you do, you’ll probably just look at the first page of search results. It’s no surprise that businesses want to be as close to the top of Google as possible! So how do you get there? That’s the science of Search Engine Optimisation, or SEO.

In video one, Prabin talks you through SEO and how to use Screaming Frog to do a thorough SEO audit on your website. Then in video 2, Rach gives you a run through of seositecheckup.com that you can use to do a quick audit on any site.

  1. Download the free version of Screaming Frog (this will take a while).
  2. Have a play around with the free version and test “Crawls”.
  3. Head to SEO Site Checkup.
  4. Choose a website you want to run an audit on. Ideally it should be a website that you’ve created so that you can implement any changes. Please note, you can only run one test a day for free.
  5. Complete your SEO Site checkup and make any fixes you can. Screen record your findings using Loom.
  6. Post your screen redording to your thread in the Module 7 Practicals Forum.
