Module Overview
DD01 Digital Brand

Aim: develop an understanding of branding concepts, develop a brand key, formulate and respond to creative briefs and implement messaging frameworks.
Learning outcomes:

  1. Select and apply a broad range of branding concepts in the development of a brand key and messaging framework (2 credits)

  2. Facilitate an effective key to brand workshop to gather information and uncover insights (2 credits)

  3. Apply a brand key to the development of a creative brief and brand platform (1 credit)

DD02 Digital Presence

Aim: To introduce the tools and techniques required to establish an effective commercial website. To develop and implement the content required to establish a commercial online presence.

Learning outcomes

  1. Apply brand knowledge and use digital tools to develop the written and visual content required to effectively represent an online business (3 credits)
  2. Select and apply a range of tools and techniques to develop and manage a commercial website (3 credits)
DD03 Digital Content

Aim: To introduce tools and techniques for producing and sharing authentic and engaging content. To implement digital content for effective promotion of a business.

Learning outcomes

  1. Apply brand identity in the development of a brand guide and authentic voice (1 credit)
  2. Apply brand identity and insights in the development and implementation of a social media strategy (2 credits)
  3. Select and apply a range of tools and techniques to produce digital content that effectively communicates a brand’s message and values (2 credits)
DD04 Digital Marketing

Aim: To research business requirements and identify customers for a digital campaign. To develop creative content, launch a digital campaign and evaluate outcomes against business requirements.

Learning outcomes

  1. Assess business objectives and research potential customers for a digital campaign (2 credits)
  2. Select and apply a range of marketing principles to develop and launch a digital campaign (2 credits)
  3. Evaluate and optimise a digital campaign to meet business objectives (1 credit)
DD05 Digital Tools

Aim: To introduce digital tools and techniques for efficient online business. To investigate and establish use of digital tools appropriate for specific business requirements.

Learning outcomes

  1. Identify and implement appropriate digital tools for a range of business requirements. (2 credits)
  2. Demonstrate effective and secure use of digital tools to provide an online digital business solution (2 credits)
DD06 Self Development

Aim: To introduce tools and techniques that contribute to personal development and its application to a business or workplace setting.

Learning outcomes

  1. Demonstrate application of the Kōkiri Whakamua framework in personal development (2 credits)
  2. Demonstrate humility and leadership in teaching and learning in a workplace setting (1 credit)
DD07 CRO & SEO

Aim: To introduce the tools and techniques for measuring and optimising conversion of digital business goals. To analyse requirements for optimisation and develop a plan to meet business objectives.

Learning outcomes

  1. Demonstrate understanding of optimisation tools and techniques by performing a CRO audit (2 credits)
  2. Apply audit outcomes and insights to develop a search engine and conversion optimisation plan (2 credits)
DD08 Digital Strategy & Audit

Aim: To introduce the tools and techniques for analysis of digital business requirements. To apply analysis outcomes and insights to the development of a digital business strategy.

Learning outcomes

  1. Execute an effective business consultation, identifying goals, insights and priorities for a digital strategy (2 credits)
  2. Apply consultation outcomes to develop and present an actionable digital strategy (1 credit)
Assessment

Each module includes practical activities to apply what you are learning and one Module Assessment, that brings everything you have learned together into a single assignment.

To successfully complete the programme and achieve the Digital Doers Certificate (Micro-credential), you will need to complete each module assessment.
