Welcome to Planning for Intentional Teaching

In this module, you will be preparing yourself for your future as kaiako, in terms of:

  • setting goals for your personal health and wellbeing
  • setting goals for your professional development
  • learning more about how to guide children’s behaviour so that learning can happen effectively
  • how to build respectful, responsive, and reciprocal relationships with colleagues, children, parents and whānau, and the wider community.

Start planning now for Assessment 3 of 4 in this module

For work-based learners, you are asked to reflect and commit to professional goals. As part of your development, you will meet with your supervisor/centre manager to discuss them.

Your first meeting will be to talk about how you can achieve your goals over your placement hours/while you are employed. The second hui will be so you can reflect on your goals, and how far you came, or how you, achieved them.

  • From the content menu on the left, scroll to the bottom of this module now, and open Assessment 3 - 03A3 so you can start planning.

As always, make the most of the activities in this module. Your tutor and peers are a great resource to reach out to and ask for advice or help if you need it.
