Welcome to CUAGRD514 – Create and Manipulate Graphics.

As you continue to develop your proficiencies in graphic design, the purpose of this module concentrates on the skills and knowledge required to create and manipulate graphics using a combination of creative design skills and technical software proficiency.

It involves the analysis, application, and refinement of graphic design techniques to meet the assigned design objectives. There are four (4) areas of study associated with this module. These are:

  • Analyse design needs – which allows you to explore communication objectives for graphics and evaluate design brief specifications incorporating legal, ethical, and contractual information.
  • Develop and refine graphics ideas – which allows you to conduct visual research, analyse graphic techniques and technologies, experiment with ideas for composition, and produce and present design ideas.
  • Create graphic objects – which allows you to create design outcomes through experimentation, manipulation, and editing of graphic design programs and software and present design ideas.
  • Finalise & evaluate graphics work – which allows you to edit and refine graphics, save and export files, and be involved in critiques where you present your work and contribute to discussions of design practice.

Good luck with your studies!
