  4. Working on a screen to produce a printed piece can be an obstacle to seeing how the actual layout will work. Once we print it, you will see the relationships between the different elements and how they are. Do this early, for instance, when making a wireframe or template of a printed layout, to ensure your decisions will translate.
  5. Photograph your design work as you go. Seeing it on a screen will help to clarify your thought process and refine your ideas. Taking a break to reset your vision can reset your spatial awareness and help you see the design by changing what else is in your field of view. Also, some details can meld together in a close-up.
