Meet Martin ...

He runs a community walking group in his neighbourhood, mostly made up of retirees or stay-at-home parents. The group meets three times a week and they walk between 5km - 10km around the local parks and riverfront are in their neighbourhood with the occasional trip further afield to a national park walking trail.

To protect sports future, we need the collaborative effort of our community in mitigating our impact on the environment and adapting best practices. We have the capacity and an imperative to take pole position in leading the charge and to act in ways where we leave our communities in the same condition, if not better, than we found them.

As defined by Britannica.com, A National park is an area set aside by a national government for the preservation of the natural environment. A national park may be set aside for purposes of public recreation and enjoyment or because of its historical or scientific interest. Most of the landscapes and their accompanying plants and animals in a national park are kept in their natural state.
